The history of AOC dates back to 1934, when a U.S. firm began to make televisions under the name Admiral. In 1967 the Admiral Overseas Corporation was founded in Taiwan. With the adoption of the brand name AOC in 1979 as well as the opening of the first manufacturing facility in China in 1990, the rapid infiltration of the world market began. Today AOC is a global player in IT and consumer electronics, with a focus on High Definition (HD) technology.
